I just "followed" your blog! This summer will find me sewing and knitting when I am not working. I do custom-sewing for a local children's store so I stay very busy making lots of little girl outfits! No little ones in my house so I love this kind of sewing!

Hi Amber! I'm a teacher so I get to take a lot of my holidays in the summer. I know there will be a lot of home improving, sewing, knitting, trips out for seaside fun, and getting accidentally sunburned :)

ReplyDeleteI am a part-time student, so I start summer classes next week. On top of that, my bike just got fixed so I will be riding for miles every week whenever I can, depending on the weather :) I also will squeeze in some sewing time as well. The bag is super, super cute!

Such a sweet burst of sunshine! Our summer will be spent at the local pool for dive meets and swim meets! However, here in the PNW there is NO guarantee of sunshine - this bag would keep the whole summer sunny :)

ReplyDeleteI am following your beautiful blog, and would LOVE to win this Whimsey! This summer my daughter will be doing lots of exciting things. She will be going to Montana for a month to ride horses with her best friend on her grandfather's ranch, also she will be going to Silverwood in Idaho for 2 weeks with her other bestest friend. To top it off she will be spending a bunch of time with her favorite Aunt, babysitting, shopping and learning to file for her company, and getting paid for it. All of this at the age of 12!! Her life is much more exciting than mine is. I do plan on some long horseback rides, and sessions with my sewing machine outside. Why not sew in the sun?
ReplyDeletebesides a few days at the beach or hitting a few yard sales, most of my summer will be indoors quilting for my charity group... Florida gets really hot in the summer... Maybe we will get a pool this year.

ReplyDeleteThis summer I've decided to live greener. The specific areas I've chosen to "green up" are my garden and my wardrobe. Thus, I will ONLY be eating veggies from my garden (here's hoping it grows!) and will only be making my own clothes!
